Mockups, physical samples and packaging layouts
A digital mockup can help confirm logo placement and rough visual direction. A physical sample can help assess product feel, imprint scale, material, color and packaging fit. Packaging layouts are important when the buyer needs a gift box, insert tray, sleeve, sticker, card or paper bag. Each approval type answers a different question, so buyers should be clear about what they need to see before bulk approval.
Sample feedback should be written and specific. Instead of "make it better," buyers can mark logo size, placement, color, box insert, card text or item replacement requests. Clear feedback prevents the team from revising the wrong part of the gift set. When several departments must review, one person should consolidate comments.
